Here you'll find quite a few short scenes that Kevin has developed for his Acting classes over the years. They're short, have easy tech requirements, and vary from two-person scenes to a whole classroom. These scenes and monologues are FREE as long as you follow the instructions below.

classroom Scenes

Instructions for Use:

  1. Do not assume that because these scenes are royalty-free and available for download that they are Public Domain-- the are NOT. These scenes are fully protected by US and international copyright laws. We will vigorously pursue anyone who infringes on our copyright.
  2. Most of the following scenes were written for use in a basic acting class for 9-12 year olds. Most of the characters may be played by male or female actors. You'll notice that in most of the scenes, their names are gender-ambiguous (CJ, Billy/Billie, Tony/Toni, etc).
  3. You may photocopy and use the following scenes royalty-free as long as they are ONLY for classroom, church, or recital use. You may NOT video tape or otherwise record the performance without specific , written permission from KMR Scripts.
  4. You may invite an audience to a performance of these scenes, but no admission may be charged above that which the kids pay as tuition. You must respect the copyright and place the notice: "Used with permission from KMR Scripts (www.kmrscripts.com)" somewhere noticeable. Who is My Neighbor? - (9 actors) Our "reporter on the street" is asking the age-old question, "Who is my neighbor."

The Game - (3 actors) Three kids get together and talk about last night's basketball game.

Famous Quotes - (2 actors) Two students get together and talk about English Class.

At the Movies - (2 actors) Two kids meet to watch a movie together.

The Fence - (6 actors- 3M/3F) - Tom is missing ball practice because he has to paint his fence. After his Mom tells him about Tom Sawyer, he tries to trick his friends into doing it so he can go to practice.

The Kidz Klub 1 - (5 actors- 2M, 3F) - A new kid joins the neighborhood kids club.

EraserHead - (23 actors) Jolty's having a bad day! He got in trouble at school and now has to erase all the markings from books in the library. But when he learns of the White washing scene in Tom Sawyer, he get's a great idea that should turn his day around. [PDF File)

The Kids Klub 2 - The Step Dragon - (5 actors- 2M, 3F) A Halloween show that's a little bit scary-- written for middle school actors/audiences. Members of the kids club begin disappearing.

  2. These monolgues have been adapted by the playwright from their respective plays. These monologues and scenes are fully protected by US and International Copyright Laws. Permission is granted for the presentation of these monologues and scenes ONLY for the use of actors auditioning for parts in a play or for classroom use by acting classes in schools or theatres. Under no circumstance is it permissible to present any or all of these monologues or scenes for an audience of any kind (except auditioners as noted above) without the payment of performance royalty.
